Budget Christian Wedding Rings

Great deals can be found on the net for budget Christian wedding rings. I found over 2 million sites that come up on Google when I type in "Christian wedding rings."

I went to several sites on the first page alone and the prices are reasonable. There are many beautiful styles to choose from.

You can opt for a plain gold or white gold band like most couples do. Or you can show the world and remind yourself everyday that you have a Christian union.

Some of the Christian symbols on wedding rings are crosses, a crown of thorns, angels, the Christian fish, and engravings on the outside and/or inside of the band in English and in Hebrew. The engraving can be a Bible verse or a meaningful phrase. Some rings have a combination of symbols and others mix diamonds in with the symbols.

Budget Christian wedding rings can be found at some local Christian bookstores that sell fine jewelry. They can also be found or special-ordered from discount stores such as Wal-Mart and Sam's Club in their fine jewelry departments.

Don't be afraid to get your wedding jewelry from these stores. I have several pieces and they do a great job. The jewelry looks beautiful and you will save a lot of money when compared to a jewelry store. The gold and the stones are just as real as at a fine jewelry store. The difference is that you will save hundreds of dollars. You can custom order jewelry and they do engrave it as well.

Another money-saving budget Christian wedding rings idea is to use a ring that has been in one of your families for many years.

This could be the ring of a grandmother or a great aunt. Perhaps your future mother-in-law's first diamond ring before she upgraded to a bigger diamond......An antique ring can be professionally cleaned, re-sized, repaired, and even reset.

Pawn shops can be a source of inexpensive but beautiful and practically new jewelry as well. Don't be ashamed or afraid to check. Sometimes when couples break up, they unload beautiful jewelry there for a fraction of what it is worth.

My Bridal Set Is Something Old

by Chandler Burkett- Smith
(Garden City, South Carolina )

My engagement ring was my fiance's great grandmother's ring passed down through the family. My wedding band is my great grandmother's. They have both passed away and are both so important to me. Having their wedding bands is a constant reminder that they are with me always. The bands remind me of their loving advice, of their over fifty year marriages, and their complete devotion to the Lord! These bands aren't big, they aren't new, but they are completely priceless and precious to me!

Chandler,
That is a beautiful idea. Thank you for sharing with us!

Plain Gold Wedding Band by Juanita Schulze

My plain gold wedding band and my engagement ring are pictured below on the red background. My husband did not have much money back then so he picked out the engagement ring he liked and surprised me with it. It is mostly yellow gold but the setting holding the diamond is white gold. The light really put a glare on it in the photo, but it is a pretty ring, just tiny. I really did not care. I was in love with the man, not the jewelry.

When we went to pick out wedding bands, I decided I wanted a plain gold band, like my mother and her mother had. I got a thin yellow gold wedding band and David got a thicker one because he has large hands and a thin band looked silly on his fingers.

A relative of ours had to have a $10,000 engagement ring and her fiance could not afford it so her mother had to loan him the money. What do you think of that? She was engaged to her mother. If you can't afford to pay cash, you cannot afford the ring. Do yourselves a favor and do not go into debt to buy a ring you cannot afford. This will create many problems and you will be in debt because you are not satisfied with what he can afford. Does that sound right to you? There is nothing wrong with a plain gold wedding band if that is what you can afford. You can always upgrade later on, if you want to.

Money is not everything. Yes, it is great to have money and put it in the bank. Don't waste it buying expensive jewelry unless you are loaded. You don't need to keep up with your "friends" who bought their expensive rings on credit. Trust me, I know what I am talking about. Money fights are the number one problem in marriages. Don't let it be that way with you. Start off out of debt. Buy a plain gold wedding band and remember you are in love, not in debt.

White Gold Christian Wedding Rings

by Karen
(Des Moines)

We chose white gold Christian wedding rings that match. They came in one box and they look beautiful. They have one cross with a small diamond chip on either side of it and we engraved our wedding date on the inside of our wedding rings. The cross tells everyone that we are Christians and the rings say we are married. I prefer the silver-colored gold because I think silver is prettier. My fiance did not care if we got gold or silver-colored white gold.

My engagement ring is also white gold with a nice-sized diamond so it goes very well with our white gold Christian wedding rings but it is actually not part of the set.

Cheap Wedding Rings

These days, with so much unemployment and financial insecurity, couples are looking for cheap wedding rings. There is nothing wrong with that.

Even if you both have good jobs, you do not need to spend thousands of dollars for rings. The ring is a symbol of your unending love, not of your very large bank account. There is no need to try to impress anyone. A simple ring will do the trick just fine. My engagement and wedding rings, pictured above, have worked now for almost 24 years....

My husband and I purchased inexpensive plain gold bands. Mine is thin because I have small hands. My husband's is a little thicker because a thin one looked strange on his large hands. A friend of mine managed a jewelry store in El Paso so I asked him if he could give us a deal. He did so we bought our plain gold wedding bands from Whitehall Jewelers.

Otherwise, we would have gone to Wal-Mart to buy inexpensive wedding bands. I have purchased yellow gold and white gold jewelry from Wal-Mart before and it is just as good as you can buy at a jewelry store.

If you are looking for brand new cheap wedding rings, I think Wal-Mart is the way to go. If they do not have your sizes in stock, they will order them, which can take up to six weeks so do not wait until just before the wedding to buy your wedding rings. Buy them months in advance and put them away. You can buy plain wedding bands for under $100 there. They also have a lovely selection of diamond wedding bands.

Target is another good store to purchase wedding rings, but their prices are just a bit higher than at Wal-Mart. No, I am not earning any type of commission from Wal-Mart. I am just telling you the truth so you can buy nice rings without going into debt. Never charge your wedding rings. Going into debt is not the way to start your marriage.

Being debt-free with cheap wedding rings is much better than being in debt and having to pay for expensive rings for years to come. You will pay much more than the purchase price with interest over many months or years. Pay cash for what you can afford and upgrade later when you have the cash for better rings.

Christian Wedding Bands

Exchanging Christian wedding bands between the bride and groom is a normal part of a Christian wedding. Usually there is a double ring exchange, although sometimes there is just a ring for the bride. For some reason, some men refuse to wear a ring.

My husband and I had a double ring exchange, but not too many months after our wedding, he would not wear the ring anymore. He says it is because he gained weight and it does not fit but he does not want it re-sized. To tell the truth, I no longer even know where his wedding ring is. I wear mine always, but not him.

My son is still wearing his wedding ring and it has been on his finger now for over a year so I am proud of him for doing so.

Personally, I think there should always be a double ring exchange and that both the bride and the groom should have to wear their rings because the ring says, "I am married; stay away; leave me alone" to others, but that is just me. Some men and women do not care whether or not someone is married. They feel everyone is fair game.

Getting back to the wedding ceremony, the exchange of Christian wedding bands usually occurs right after the wedding vows. The groom places the wedding ring on the bride and repeats a vow that the officiant says and then the bride does the same.

Ladies, if you are wondering about your engagement ring, take it off for the ceremony. Your wedding band goes on your finger first. I gave mine to my sister to hold during the ceremony and right after, she gave it back to me and I put it on so by the time the wedding guests hit the receiving line, I had both rings on. Another option is to wear your engagement ring on your right hand until after the ceremony.
